What is FECOVAL?

A brief description

What is FECOVAL?

Fecoval is made up of building contractors in the Valencian Region who carry out public sector construction projects and specialist regional associations ACOALACOVAL, APPEC, AVEMCOP y FECIA.

The federation was created in 1983 as a strictly business and professional body. Fecoval is currently the Valencian Region’s only independent federation in this industry. Since its creation it has been characterised by its pioneering, enterprising spirit and by its commitment to ensuring that Valencian companies are treated fairly.

Why was it created?

Construction companies in the Valencian Region felt it was necessary to prove to the public sector that they were able to carry out large-scale infrastructure construction projects. Fecoval was created to serve the interests of these companies which already had a wide range of experience working for city and provincial councils and other public entities in the Valencian Region.

Our history

The federation’s first chairman was Máximo Caturla Camino. He was followed by Jose Mª Jiménez de la Iglesia, Rafael Ferrando Giner, Juan Cámara Giland and the current chairman of the federation,  Francisco Javier Luján Morant.

The Board is currently made up of representatives from twenty five member companies and five associations which include over 100 companies from the industry. Fecoval is also a member of CIERVAL (the Confederation of Business Organisations in the Valencian Region) and of the CNC (the Spanish Construction Confederation) and participates in the governing bodies of these confederations.
