Origins
The Federation was founded in 1985 as a strictly business and professional entity. Today, Fecoval is the only independent and regional Federation in this sector, which has been characterized since its inception by a pioneering and entrepreneurial spirit, as well as by its commitment to defending the rights of Valencian companies.
It is made up of companies from our community that saw the need to assert their ability to compete for major infrastructure projects before the Public Administrations. Thus, Fecoval was born, a Federation created to defend and enhance the interests of these companies that already had extensive experience working for city councils, provincial councils and other public entities in the region.
Fecoval It is made up of companies from the Valencian Community that are contractors for works for the Administration, in addition to integrating the specialized provincial associations ACOVAL, APPEC, ARIVAL, AVEMCOP, FECIA and FOPA.
History
The first president of the Federation was Máximo Caturla Camino, followed by José María Jiménez de la Iglesia, Rafael Martínez Berna, Rafael Ferrando Giner, Juan Cámara Gil, Francisco Javier Luján Morant, Eduardo Beut González and its current president José Luis Santa Isabel.
Currently, the Board of Directors is composed of the leading companies in the Valencian Community and the main associations in this sector. Furthermore, Fecoval is a member of CECCOVA, CEV, the Construction Labor Foundation, and CNC, in whose governing bodies it participates directly.
